As a child, nature, lines, patterns, fabrics, and their interaction fueled my creative energies. Later, painting and design classes brought me further down this artistic rabbit hole.
In 2006, while developing a tile company, I discovered the magical powers of clay and glaze. I was instantly hooked on the art of ceramics. I found my own kiln and explored jewelry concepts. My artistry began to flow from this original stream of experiment and learning.
Inspired by everything from Post-it-note sketches to mistakes in the kiln or doodled recipe books, Dandy’s eclectic style often emerges mysteriously. Many ideas flip and whirl in my mind, until, if I’m lucky, one makes its way through my hands and into a piece of clay.
My time in the studio allows me to indulge in my childhood joys while creating something that affects and enlivens people in a uniquely Dandy way. Be original. Be sexy. Be Dandy. Just be.
